My Timeshare Experience

Home

The first time that I was involved in timeshare/points, was when my wife and I were invited to a presentation on holidays. This presentation was good and got us interested in the idea of flexible holidays with the CRI points system. We actually signed up on the day (something that I would not normally do, but there has to be a 14 day "cooling off " period according to UK law). We had signed up to buy 15600 points for about £2500.

As soon as I got home, I was on the internet, trying to find out more about RCI holidays and holiday points. By the following day I had a quote for 31200 points for £2500.

I researched as much as possible and soon found a better way to own points was to purchase a timeshare week and then "cede" (convert) it into CRI points. The two advantages of this method is that the original cost is less and then the yearly maintainence cost is less. So the next quote that I had was for 59000 points for £3100.

The deal that I eventually took was a lot better than that and will secure my families holidays for the next 76 years. Please contact me for details. Glenn

The following table sets out the costs during my "investigation".
